Lavender smudge stick
Last summer I put some lavender clippings in a brown paper bag and completely forgot about them...Today I found them, and decided to make lavender smudge sticks out of them. Starting at the bottom of a bundle of flowers, I wrapped a cotton string around the stems, winding it up to the top, and then down again. It's easier to use fresh material, the stems got a bit brittle, but it worked out fine. The smoke from the smouldering stick smells so lovely, like a summer breeze in the midst of winter.
